Steve Kerr hides nothing as he reveals his thoughts on Draymond Green and his behavior on-court tonight. The Golden State Warriors managed to defeat the Orlando Magic 101-93 despite Green’s very early ejection. But it didn’t come without its fair share of stress and frustration.

For starters, the whole incident made Stephen Curry break down in tears. For a man who rarely expresses emotion to just lose it on National TV shows the stretch of effect the instance had on him. Replying to Athletic’s Anthony Slater in the post-game presser, Kerr says, “Too bad. It was unfortunate. He deserved it. He will bounce back.”

He further added the following in his post. “Asked if it eroded any of the recent confidence Draymond has built: “No”.”

With just 10 games to the postseason, the Warriors need to be at full strength. Draymond knows that. The fact that the Dubs have a defensive rating of 122.0 without Dray and 113.8 with him is another point of exploitation for opponents. The man is the floor general for a reason. Without his dominant presence on the floor, it’s pretty much suicide when going against big ball lineups, given that the GSW’s preferred route is going small.

Despite it all, as Steve Kerr mentioned, the recent changes in his character will not go unnoticed. Nor will it dent the confidence the team has in Green. Of course, his behavior is erratic, he is much more passionate than almost everyone and is loyal to a fault. Hopefully, they will consider this as a flaw of his character rather than something he does on purpose.

What did Draymond Green say to the referee?

In the Warriors vs Magic game, Dray got thrown out for arguing with a ref. The first was for calling a personal foul on himself and the second, was a shooting foul on Steph. It was the second that really got to Green’s nerves so much so that he walked to Ray Acosta yelling.

When the first tech was issued Dray showed no signs of slowing down. That resulted in the second tech also being slapped, which automatically translated to an ejection. But he wasn’t leaving without having the last word. However, what Green said wasn’t clear until an alleged leaked audio seemed to clarify things. Apparently, he had some NSFW comments for Acosta. “Pu**y a** n****.”

With tonight’s ejection, Draymond Green is officially a protégé of Kevin Durant for the most ejections in a season. KD was tossed out five times in the 2017-18 season. And since then, Green is the only player to come close. His career total ejections now come to 21, just eight away from shaking hands with Rasheed Wallace.

So, do you think Green’s antics tonight were justifiable? Does he deserve to continue with the Warriors? Or was he simply looking out for his teammate? Let us know your thoughts on the same.
