The Golden State Warriors are desperately looking for a win tonight. They are going head-to-head against the Memphis Grizzlies and hope to add another win to their 35-32 record. Despite Memphis being shorthanded in tonight’s game, they have caused problems for Stephen Curry and Co. Amid their heated battle, Warriors Center Draymond Green resorted to his old antics as he got into a physical altercation with several Grizzlies players.

It started when Draymond held Grizzlies Forward Santi Aldama’s jersey and shoved him. The officials surprisingly let the play go on, leading to a Moses Moody three-pointer on the other end. Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins immediately called a time-out and went to have a word with the official about the no-call on Draymond. The Warriors Forward decided to listen in on the conversation and entered the mix. Desmond Bane tried to stop Draymond, leading to a confrontation between the two stars. Draymond’s teammate Gary Payton II pulled him away from Bane, accidentally pushing Taylor Jenkins to the floor.

The Grizzlies and Warriors’ benches cleared and rushed to the floor as it was a time-out. After both teams calmed down, Draymond and Bane hatched it out on the court with a handshake. Fortunately, the altercation did not escalate, and both parties were able to maintain their composure. Green and Bane were penalized with a technical foul upon review, and the play continued with the Grizzlies getting possession.

Draymond Green ejections & suspensions

The NBA World has gotten used to watching Draymond Green getting into on-court altercations with his opponents. Draymond has found himself in deep waters multiple times over the course of this season. He got penalized with two lengthy suspensions earlier this season for laying his hands on players. Draymond first received a 5-game suspension for putting Rudy Gobert in a choke hold during a game. Just a few games after his return, Draymond smacked Suns Center Jusuf Nurkic in the face and got suspended again indefinitely. Draymond’s second suspension lasted 12 games, and he also considered retirement during that time.

It is surprising that Draymond Green did not get ejected for his actions tonight. Veteran analyst Skip Bayless slammed Draymond on X for his antics against the Grizzlies, “Now it’s to the point where Draymond gets away with any little thing BECAUSE he’s Draymond. Refs think, “Oh, well, that’s just Draymond.” He obviously deserved a tech for grabbing/yanking Aldama’s jersey. Nope. Led to him igniting another conflict. That’s just Draymond???”
