The New York Knicks are going to face the Toronto Raptors in the Madison Square Garden in New York. Mitchell Robinson is out of the game due to left ankle inflammation. In the 133-123 loss against Boston, he came late in the second half and scored 10 points while playing for 19 minutes. The head coach Tom Thibodeau on Sunday shared that Robinson will undergo further testing and was ruled out later.

As the news about his withdrawal from the game became public, his fans had to brace themselves for something even more heartbreaking. Recently he talked about issues much more severe to his personal life.

Mitchell Robinson was recently ruled out of the game and Jalen Bruno was in the questionable category. At the same time, fans felt that ankle sprain was the reason for him being out of the game but opened up on much bigger issues on Snapchat. Robinson talked about his lifelong struggles where had been facing dejections. The NBA star shared that he cannot get the desired results despite putting in the required work.

Additionally, he pointed out how it has been affecting his mental health. Robinson wrote, “… even when I do what I’m supposed to god throws these battles at me that feel like they’re unbeatable no matter what I do. I know I shouldn’t be letting this stuff get to my mental but over time it just takes over.” The Knicks star didn’t elaborate upon his troubles. He recently dealt with lower back pain in the loss to the Phoenix Suns a fortnight back. He scored 3 points with 11 rebounds and 1 assist in the match. This is not the first time as the 25-year-old has struggled with injuries in the past.

Robinson’s professional woes

Mitchell Robinson was selected with 36 overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft. After signing the contract, he suffered an ankle injury. He made some appreciable strides while playing for the Knicks, but injuries have weighed heavily on his career. On February 12, 2021, he fractured his right hand in a match against the Washington Wizards.
