The Lakers big man is averaging 12.2 points per game in the 4 appearances before the game against Germany and has 14 blocks to his name.

So far during the Olympic prep, Embiid is the only player who has been receiving negative feedback from analysts and fans alike. His fitness has been called into question alongside his gameplay. According to experts, Embiid’s game is hindering the flow of the team, which can be solved with AD and Bam Adebayo in the lineup being the muscle of the team. Starting Ant was another key takeaway from the comment, as he is the highest scorer for Team USA so far.

That can only mean more bad news for Edwards, as Kerr might not want to add AD to balance the size in the paint.
