The Charlotte Hornets have officially announced that they have waived Kai Jones. This comes after multiple instances of erratic behavior by the young forward on social media. The official X handle of the Hornets put out a press release announcing this decision. Just two days prior, Jones had requested a trade via his social media account. And now he finds himself looking for a new team.?

What went wrong with Kai Jones?

It all began in early September, when the 22 year old went live on Instagram and seemed to slur while talking and sweat profusely. Many believed that he was under influence. But he denied this in a tweet later. It was also reported that he had called out some of his teammates. Later, on September 30th, the management announced that the player would not be participating in training camp due to personal reasons.?
