West Virginia forward Quinn Slazinski had high praise for Blake Hinson after his incredible shooting night, “He shot the ball better than Kevin Durant.” After being compared with the 23-year-old Pittsburgh forward, KD wrote on X, “Still a God” reasserting his dominance in the basketball world. A fan did not like KD calling himself a God and responded with a harsh comment, “Kevin Durant, he who has never been the best player in the NBA nor won anything outside of Golden State, considers himself a “God” The 2-time Champion quickly responded and shut down the fan with just 4 words, “Did that upset u?”

While most athletes do not respond to their haters on social media, Kevin Durant is notoriously popular for getting into heated exchanges with his trolls. The Slim Reaper has even admitted to having burner accounts on multiple social media applications to respond to the comments.

While many consider Durant’s behavior petty, he enjoys shutting down his critics on the internet.

Can Kevin Durant win outside Golden State to finally silence his critics?

When Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors in 2016, many fans considered it a weak move. Not only were the Warriors a 73-win team before KD’s arrival, but they also eliminated Kevin Durant and Co. from the playoffs the previous season. The move shocked the entire world as no superstar had ever joined a team that eliminated him in the playoffs the previous year. But Kevin Durant achieved what he wanted and became a 2-time Champion with the Warriors.

However, KD’s legacy has taken a hit since he left Golden State. He has been unable to win any hardware despite having been a part of two super teams in Brooklyn and Phoenix. Durant is 35 years old and in the later stages of his career. And if he manages to fail again with Devin Booker and Bradley Beal as his teammates, the NBA world will never let him forget his failure. KD is having an incredible season so far, averaging 31 points and 6.5 rebounds.
