While it’s easy to get the wrong meaning from James’ statement, veteran analyst Stephen A. Smith provided a different angle to the scenario.

He gave his two cents, saying that what Bron meant was that the ones who play for the Purple & Gold are not playing to their abilities. So much so that, if Bronny were to play right now in the franchise, he would play much better than everyone on the roster.

While it isn’t necessarily a bad thing to be compared to Bronny James, what Bron is drawing attention to are the obvious struggles of his team. Unfortunately, they still continue. And the Lakers are on the verge of an immediate roster reshuffle. Hopefully, that will be enough to bring them back!
