Who doesn’t love a good MrBeast video? And when there is a celebrity involved, it just doubles the fun. His latest project starred some of the biggest names in the sports world, including Stephen Curry. The idea was simple – compete against an Average Joe, and the winner takes home $100,000. But Steph was a bit taken aback when his competitor got under his skin with some early mind games.
Well, the Warriors star was facing Demarrion, the number 1 shooter of his high school, in a three-point competition. Obviously, going against the best shooter in the world in a regular contest would not have fared well for Demarrion. So, to make it a fair fight, MrBeast gave Steph only 30 seconds to shoot as many threes as possible, while Demarrion would get double the time to beat him. Before they headed to the three-point line, MrBeast asked Demarrion, “Who do you like more, Steph Curry or LeBron James?” The high school star immediately replied, “LeBron.”
Maybe, it was a strategy to get Steph off his game or a genuine response, but Demarrion picking LeBron seemingly got under the four-time champ’s skin, as he questioned, “See he’s a Bron guy?” MrBeast even warned Demarrion to not play with fire, “Oh my God. You shouldn’t piss him off before you go against him.” Then, began the three-point contest.

Of course, Steph being Steph, knocked down a whopping 14 threes in merely thirty seconds. Maybe Demarrion picking LeBron over him gave him some added motivation. When it was Demarrion’s turn to respond, he could hit only 9 threes in a minute. Hence, Steph won the contest, and along with it $100,000 for a charity of his choice.
However, once the competition was over, Curry had nothing but love for the high school star, as he commended the kid for his effort, “That was phenomenal man.” Steph announced that the winnings would be donated to The Eat.Learn.Play Foundation, the charity he runs with his wife Ayesha. While Steph held his own in MrBeast’s video, another NBA superstar was not so lucky.

Giannis Antetokounmpo “salty” after famous YouTuber dominates him in MrBeast’s $100,000 challenge
Similar to Steph, Giannis was also a guest on MrBeast’s video for one of the challenges. His competitor? Basketball YouTuber Tristan Jass, with over 5.6 million subscribers. Unlike Curry and Demarrion’s three-point contest, MrBeast had a different challenge for Giannis and Tristan – first to make a layup, free throw, three-pointer, and half court shot takes home $100,000. As expected, The Greek Freak was confident in himself and even claimed, “I’m about to win all this money.” But when the contest began, everyone was stunned.

While Tristan cruised through his shots, Giannis missed back-to-back free throws. Before he could head to the three-point line to make his third shot, the YouTuber knocked down the half-court shot and sealed the game. Even MrBeast was shocked at how lopsided it was, “That happened so fast!” Meanwhile, Giannis was visibly frustrated, as he confessed, “I’m so salty right now. This guy came to Milwaukee and left with $100,000 in his pocket.”

What’s your perspective on:
Is picking LeBron over Steph a bold move or just asking for trouble in a shootout?
Have an interesting take?
Of course, this was all in good fun and it even looked like Giannis was not going full throttle on his effort. Regardless, he could not beat the Average Joe like Steph did, which might sting a bit. However, it sure made for an entertaining video. Do you agree?
