The Golden State Warriors are looking to continue their dominant run following the All-Star break. After beating the Los Angeles Lakers yesterday, Stephen Curry and Co. will go head-to-head against the Charlotte Hornets tonight. However, one person will go home happy tonight regardless of the game’s outcome. Dell Curry will become the first father in NBA history to announce a game that stars his two sons, Steph and Seth Curry.

Steph and Seth will face each other tonight, with their father calling the game from the sidelines. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr embraced the Curry family’s historic milestone during the pre-game interview, “Pretty incredible.” Kerr expressed his happiness for Dell Curry, knowing how proud he would be as a father to call tonight’s game. However, Kerr was surprised to know that this feat had never been achieved in the NBA before. “Surprised me that it is the first time, but of course, it makes sense.”

While Steph and Seth have been in the NBA for a long time, they never got a chance to play for the Charlotte Hornets. There was very little chance of Steph taking that leap as he has been the face of the Warriors franchise throughout his career. However, Seth made Dell’s dream a reality when he got traded to the Hornets in exchange for P.J. Washington at the mid-season trade deadline.

Dell Curry was hyped about one of his sons playing for their hometown team. “Seth, he just moves back into his bedroom in my house,” Dell said after hearing about Seth’s trade to Charlotte.

Stephen Curry was surprised by his brother’s trade

While Stephen Curry will be ready to face his brother tonight, he was surprised when he first heard about Seth’s move to Charlotte. Steph claimed he had no idea about Seth’s trade until two days before it happened. “It was a surprise. I didn’t know Seth was on the trade block or not up until two days before.”

Steph was also looking forward to facing his brother in his new team, with Dell Curry watching the game. “We haven’t played them yet. So, it will be cool. We got two games against them coming up in the second half of the year. So, I am excited about those two nights.” Regardless of the result, tonight’s game will be a memorable one for the Curry family and stay with them forever.
