Dillon Brooks took over the internet during the Rockets-Pacers matchup with another one of his infamous look-downs over Tyrese Haliburton. But he wasn’t available for the rest of the night as he abruptly left the game due to a right abdominal oblique strain. Currently listed as day-to-day, his presence for the Suns matchup is up for debate. Victor Oladipo is still ‘out’ due to a knee injury.

Arizona has a few names on the injury list as well. Bradley Beal is still in the rehabilitation phase. Damion Lee is still “out indefinitely” after a successful right meniscus procedure. Jusuf Nurkic and Josh Okogie have been listed as probable for Wednesday’s game.

Looking at the expected lineups, with Beal still out, Phoenix will likely feature their usual players. Devin Booker, Drew Eubanks, Grayson Allen, Eric Gordon, and Kevin Durant can be expected to start. The ‘Bayou City’ will probably go with Alperen Sengun, Dillon Brooks, Fred VanVleet, Jalen Green, and Jabari Smith Jr.

In the rare event that Brooks does decide to stay away, Tari Eason or Amen Thompson is most likely to take his place.

Predictions for tonight’s game

The Suns will be coming into the matchup after a day’s rest as opposed to the back-to-back of their opponents. By now, the Rockets are known for their reliable defense. While Booker is one of the top offensive guards in the league now, he will have a hard time trying to break through Houston’s defense.

But Pheonix also has Kevin Durant. Except for very few defenders (even they can barely slow the man down), the ‘Slim Reaper’ is practically untouchable. If Brooks does suit up, the game will be quite interesting. Pretty sure there will be a few fouls called and trash-talking abuzz.

“Not only is there more to life than basketball, there’s a lot more to basketball than basketball” - Jackson had a simple philosophy when he was coaching the Lakers. He wanted everyone to succeed and grow in the service of something bigger than themselves. This is what struck me the most.
