The Phoenix Suns were dominated by the Orlando Magic last night and suffered a horrendous 113-98 loss. Even after Devin Booker put his heart and soul into the comeback for his team by scoring 44 points, he could not save them single-handedly. Because his teammates were unable to support him, especially Bradley Beal. Initially, according to the injury reports, his availability for the Magic matchup was questionable, as he had suffered a nasal fracture from a previous match. However, the player had the determination to play and played the match with a protective mask as a precaution for his injury.

But, according to Beal, that mask was the reason why he performed so badly against the Magic. Not only that, he was even seen throwing away the mask in the middle of the match about which he was asked in the post-match interview. Answering that, Beal said, “I was trying to be available, give us energy. Whatever it looked like I knew I wasn’t going to be myself because I couldn’t see.”

The interviewer, however, asked Beal to explain why he couldn’t see through the mask, to which he said, “The mask moved a lot. It’s not ideal but the lens on the nose blurred my eyes and it was like shooting with one eye which is why it was all off.”

Bradley Beal played for 35 minutes in the match against the Orlando Magic and only managed to score 9 points, 6 assists, and 5 blocks. However, how did he get so severely injured that he had to wear this protective mask?
