Darvin Ham certainly has his sense of humor intact. Ahead of what’s going to be quite a sensational Knicks-Lakers game tonight, Ham was in his pre-game presser. When asked what he thought about LeBron James’ viral hourglass emoji tweet on X, the Lakers coach had a hilarious reaction.

James had started a mini “Decision” segment on X when he posted an hourglass emoji after the Atlanta loss, sparking speculations of a potential trade. “Shit, I would’ve put out two or three hourglass emojis by now,” Darvin Ham responded.

A few hours before Bron decided to turn to cryptography, the 4x champion did nothing to hide his frustration with the losses that were piling up. They had just come off a 138-122 loss to the Hawks. And D’Angelo Russell, who’s been putting up some big numbers this season, didn’t provide much spark either against the Lakers’ trade interest, Dejounte Murray.

He also mentioned that he was still undecided about his contract option to remain with the Lakers, as well as kept mum about his initial tweet. Another deciding factor in the increasing rumors was Rich Paul himself. The Klutch Sports founder ended his cold war with the Knicks President on Friday.

One take at a time

“Not only is there more to life than basketball, there’s a lot more to basketball than basketball” - Jackson had a simple philosophy when he was coaching the Lakers. He wanted everyone to succeed and grow in the service of something bigger than themselves. This is what struck me the most.
