After the Lakers vs Warriors game, the next matchup that everyone would equally be in anticipation of would be the clash of the East Titans. Boston is getting ready to host the Bucks tonight and fans can’t wait for it to begin. But the Celtics might be missing a few key players, primarily Jaylen Brown.

After a dominant performance against the Pistons yesterday, Brown seemed to have suffered an ankle sprain. He had just returned from a two-game absence, so his injury was quite concerning. The latest update on JB, as posted by the official X account of the Cs, has Brown on the injury report. He is listed as “Questionable”.

It’s safe to say that the 3x All-Star is having a productive season so far. The second-best player on the East’s top-seeded team, Brown is averaging 23.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists, shooting 35.7% from beyond the arc and 50.3% from the field per game, this season.

Along with Jaylen Brown, Sam Hauser and veteran Jrue Holiday are also on the report. But Hauser being upgraded to ‘questionable’ is good news. After the nasty ankle sprain he sustained against the Wizards on Sunday, a quick recovery wasn’t on the charts. His X-rays did come up as negative, so that’s there. Apart from that, Jayson Tatum and Al Horford are back in the lineup after both of them were absent from the Pistons’ game.

The Bucks vs Celtics

There is no doubt that everyone will be zeroed in on this matchup. Yet Milwaukee might miss their superstar for the night. Giannis Antetokounmpo (left hamstring) and MarJon Beauchamp (back spasms) are on the injury list. Otherwise, you could say that the Bucks are almost at full strength. But they are easily 10 games behind the Cs in the Eastern Conference. And of course, the Celtics will look to take advantage if the “Greek Freak” does indeed not suit up.

Not to mention, the Boston Celtics can seal the home-court advantage for the playoffs as soon as next week if they defeat the ‘Brew City’ Wednesday. Milwaukee is 44-24 while ‘The Bay State’ has a 54-14 record. The former is on a two-game streak while the latter is riding a comfortable six-game winning streak.

But the Bucks are a new team under Doc Rivers. So there is really no saying what the outcome can be. Though all odds are in favor of the Boston Celtics, this is the NBA, and Giannis and his team are by no means easy opponents. Drop your favorite picks in the comments below!
