Despite having an illustrious NBA career and an even more splendid Olympic opening performance just yesterday, Kevin Durant has been in the spotlight for his personal life. As of now, KD is single and has been for quite some time. Even though he has been in multiple high-profile relationships many times, none have led to marriage.

Reasons? Well, many.

In April of this year, Durant went ahead to share a list of reasons why he’s still an eligible bachelor on his Instagram stories. The reasons included:

He’s an overthinker, he cares too deeply, he prefers to give his all to the people who don’t really give him even half in return, he needs reassurances, he needs reciprocation, and he loves an “old-school” romance.

So, what’s his relationship status? Let’s explore.

Kevin Durant and his mysterious dating life

Slim Reaper’s most publicized relationship was with the former WNBA star, Monica Wright. Durant and Wright were engaged in 2013, after dating for 7 years. As fans were anticipating a glorious wedding, things fell haywire among them, as the news of their relationship breaking apart started to flood in. Both parties stated different reasons for the breakup, yet maintained a level of respect for each other on public platforms.

Durant even went so far as to publically acknowledge their challenges, citing his personal growth stemming from their ill-fated relationship.

“I had a fiancee, but…I really didn’t know how to, like, love her, you know what I’m saying? We just went our separate ways. … I love this girl. But I didn’t love her the right way,” Durant told GQ Magazine about his break-up with the former WNBA star. After this, Kevin Durant never tied the knot, at least officially.

After that, Durant allegedly dated Jasmine Shine. She supposedly maintains an anonymous presence on social media as not much of her private life could be discovered. According to reports, Durant asked her to leave his house during the 2016 NBA playoffs. That didn’t seem to work much as KD and his OKC side bowed out in the conference finals against the Warriors. His relationship with Jasmine also ended amid all that.

According to Blacksportsonline, Durant dated social media influencer, Brittney Elena in 2017 but there was never a public confirmation from any side. Soon after that KD’s name was involved with Apryl Jones, the baby mama of KD’s friend and musician Omarion. However, Apryl later denied the rumors.

By now one could think KD had a bit of enough, but no. More was to come from the Suns’ swingman. In 2017, Durant was reportedly in a relationship with Cassandra Anderson, a real estate businesswoman. She was frequently pictured in the Warriors’ home games and the couple’s picture was even seen on Cassandra’s Snapchat profile. In 2018, they broke up and since then there has been no sighting of the two.

In the same year, KD was reportedly dating Dai Frazier, a fashion model. As per Terez Owens, the 2-time NBA champion even introduced Dai to his mother. But things did not have the happy ending everyone expected this time around. But was this the end of the list?

Who has Kevin Durant dated most recently?

The final name on Durant’s long list of girlfriends is Lana Rhoades, a former adult industry star and influencer. During an episode of 3 Girls 1 Kitchen, Rhoades revealed she dated a player from the Nets who had the zodiac sign Libra. At that time, only KD had that sign in the whole of the Nets roster, so things pointed towards him.

Lana further revealed how bland their first date was and KD even brought his side chick along for a… Let’s leave the rest to your imagination. Rhodes even became pregnant with a child who has an odd resemblance to a former NBA player, so that leaves KD off the suspects’ list.

As of now, Kevin Durant is living a single life and is still on the hunt for a woman to settle down with. While that search goes on, KD has things to focus on inside the court that he loves with passion. After making his return to fitness, it’s time for KD to be the catalyst that can take Team USA all the way at the 2024 Paris Olympics. And who knows? That might be enough for him to connect with the person who’d help him have his legacy cemented.
