The Atlanta Hawks have been a surprising package throughout this season. From a team that couldn’t make it to the playoffs in the last season and turning into a threatening side, the Hawks have come a long way. Especially, they have shown signs of both team building and competing. Tonight, Trae Young & Co. have an opportunity to show their strong character once again by taking on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden.

This season, both teams have faced twice and have a 1-1 record. Notably, the Hawks walked away with a famous win when they visited the TD Garden last time. It was the time when Dyson Daniels, Clint Capela, and Jalen Johnson took charge without Trae Young. Yes, you read that right. The young and inexperienced side defeated the Celts in the Garden. So, it’s an exciting game to watch out for.

Will Trae Young lace up this time? Unfortunately, it’s less likely. The team ruled him out in the last game against the Bulls, citing a right rib contusion. For tonight’s game, the team has listed him in the Probable category for the same injury.

Apart from Young, the team has a long list of injured players. Most notably, De’Andre Hunter, Jalen Johnson, and Zaccharie Risacher will most probably not lace up for the action. So basically, the Hawks will step on the court without their top-3 offense and 2024 No.1 pick. Can they withstand the Celts?

Trae Young & Co: Starting Lineup and Depth Chart

In the previous game against the Chicago Bulls, the Hawks went with the same roster without their offensive leaders. Guess what? The team managed to defeat them comprehensively. So, the fans can expect anything from this young and thriving side. Moreover, on the other end, the Celts are fresh off a morality booster.

The defending champs got tested several times this season. Most recently, the team suffered an embarrassing loss against the 14th-seeding Raptors. Keeping the embarrassment in mind, the Celts took on the Magic last night and produced a 121-94 blowout win. So, it’s not a very confident thing to expect the Celtics to lose another game cheaply.

Furthermore, the Hawks had listed Trae Young and De’Andre Hunter in the Probable category. So, there are high chance that the team would deploy them to save the team from embarrassment. Moreover, Dyson Daniels turned up as the hero in the team’s last outing against the Celts, scoring team-high 28 points. Even though it sounds outrageous, both teams have an evenly poised roster for the challenge. Will the Celts settle the score for the previous embarrassment? Let us know in the comments.
