The Bucks led by Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard will no doubt put Trae Young & Co. to the test. But there’s no denying the 6’1 guard’s impact. In Atlanta’s latest victory over the Pelicans, Young tallied an impressive 12-point and 15-assist stat line. Over this streak, Atlanta has started to find their groove offensively, climbing from a previously middling rank to showcase better ball movement and improved efficiency. While Trae Young’s shooting percentages are a bit concerning – he’s connecting just 38.8% from the field and 32.2% from the deep (both career lows) – Young’s leadership on the floor has been critical.

The team’s winning ways and improved chemistry come as a relief after earlier doubts about balancing the 3x All-Star’s high usage style with the development of the youngsters. However, with momentum on their side and Trae Young delivering stellar performances, the ‘Peach State’ looks poised to shake off their early-season woes and push for a stronger foothold in the East standings.
