Giannis Antetokounmpo is the cornerstone of the Milwaukee Bucks and has been with the franchise since entering the NBA in 2013. The 6-foot-11 forward has been a vital tool for the Cream City ever since. Even in their latest matchup, Antetokounmpo was a last-minute addition to the squad as he was suffering a shoulder injury. However, he did not want to miss the crucial matchup against the Kings which went to overtime and ended in the favour of the Bucks. All thanks to Damian Lillard’s buzzer-beating shot, which turned the tide for the Bucks and ended the game with the score of 143-142.

After the match in the post-match interview, the former NBA champion made a hilarious comment about the missing piece in the Bucks.

In the post-match interview, the Greek Freak was asked about his thoughts on the win against the Kings to which he said, “I just wanna play games.” However, in the middle of his answer, he noticed something was wrong with his locker room carpet and said, “Somebody ruined our carpet,” and claimed that it needed to be fixed. He continued talking about the carpet situation and urged that, “We gotta do a better job now,” and said, “It’s my OCD kicking in.”

Evan Turner calls Antetokounmpo “goofy”

Evan Turner recently gained popularity for his blunt critique against the two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo. When Antetokounmpo created a new franchise record for the most points in a single game against the Pacers, looking at his antics with the match ball, Turner wrote, “S/o to Giannis for setting a career record in points and goofiness.” And recently he openly stated that the Bucks were Damian Lillard’s club, and not the Greek Freak’s anymore.

This comment occurred moments after Lillard’s game-winning three-pointer against the Sacramento Kings, which earned the Bucks their 28th regular-season victory. Due to that, Turner’s social media statements stirred debate in the NBA world, as he appeared to discount Antetokounmpo’s importance, even though the international star was instrumental in the Bucks’ 2021 title run.
