The Las Vegas Aces have created history by winning back-to-back WNBA Championships. A’ja Wilson and Co. beat the New York Liberty in a thrilling 70-69 victory. Wilson caught fire in Game 4, scoring a game-high 24 points and 16 rebounds. She was also named the Finals MVP for her elite performance throughout the series. New York was looking to make a comeback after winning the last game, but the Aces proved to be too tall a task for the Liberty to overcome.
Sydney Colson gave a heartfelt speech after her team won the WNBA Championship trophy. A’ja Wilson and Co. got the last laugh as Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu was stung by karma with a Stephen Curry pinch.

Sydney Colson, Aces Guard, gave a passionate speech after beating the New York Liberty 3-1 in the WNBA Finals, “People wanted to count us out because we had two of our starters down, but they don’t know we got some dogs on this team. So, I got two words to say, Night Night!” This came one game after Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu hit a clutch three-pointer to seal Game 3 for New York. After making the three-pointer, Ionescu taunted A’ja Wilson and Co with Stephen Curry’s iconic “Night Night” celebration. So, it was only correct for the Aces to return the favor after they beat the Liberty to win their second WNBA title.

New York Liberty had a chance to tie the series in the final seconds and force a Game 5. Liberty was down 69-70 and had possession with 8.8 seconds to go. The Aces played great defense during the final possession and forced Courtney Vandersloot to take a tough three-pointer to win the game. Vandersloot air-balled the three at the Buzzer, and the Aces became back-to-back Champions.

The Los Vegas Aces have dominated the WNBA for the last two years. They have solidified their spot as a dominant dynasty after winning back-to-back Championships. The Aces have some of the best WNBA players in their squad. Their dominance can be assessed by the fact that they defeated the New York Liberty in Game 4 without their two starters, Chelsea Gray and Kiah Stokes.
