Opinions and suspicions revolve generally around the league’s elite players in professional basketball, and lately, Kevin Durant found himself in the middle of a controversy created by comments made by former NBA player Brandon Jennings. Durant, on the other hand, is keen to point out that there is no drama and, more importantly, no communication between him and Jennings.

Kevin Durant thinks the fans have made a big deal out of nothing

Kevin Durant addressed the subject, expressing his surprise that Jennings’ remarks had begun to take on a meaning of their own, according to the fans. “The people that respond to that as if I said something, that’s really delusional to me,” Durant remarked firmly. He further added by saying, “Brandon Jennings can have his ideas and opinions, but to act like it came from me is the wildest part. I don’t talk to this guy. He’s got his own opinions on the league, which is fine.”

However, KD went on to question as to why the people are making such a big deal out of this and dissecting comments he did not make. “Does KD deserve better? Or he doesn’t deserve better? Like, why are you even talking about this?” Durant asked, stressing the insignificance of the subject. According to the 13x All-Star, external assumptions appear to have created this drama rather than any true discussion between him and Jennings.

Now looking at Durant’s remarks, they highlight the constant scrutiny and the over-analysis that frequently surrounds the words of high-profile players. Therefore, in a league where the smallest suggestion of conflict can influence narratives, the 2x NBA champions’ direct denial of any communication with Jennings puts a stop to any conjecture about a developing controversy.

However, this is not the only controversy Durant has been surrounded by. In his match against the Los Angeles Clippers, he had a verbal altercation with his former teammate, Russell Westbrook.

KD is in the midst of a controversy with his former teammate

Former teammates Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant started a fiery disagreement during an intense clash between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers. Westbrook, known for his courage, confronted Suns’ Jusuf Nurkic and demanded that he stop talking. Durant defended his teammate, claiming that Westbrook could not speak to him in that manner.

However, after that, Russ started trash-talking KD and said, “The f**k are you talking about?” Durrant laughed off Westbrook’s comments and said, “You ain’t like that slim.” This heated back-and-forth revealed the NBA stars’ unfiltered feelings and passionate personalities, leaving spectators speechless.
