LeBron James seems to be really fond of dropping cryptic messages recently. Not too long after social media erupted with speculations on the King’s potential trade, Rich Paul shut down all those with a single sentence – “LeBron won’t be traded, and we aren’t asking to be.” Aside from startled fans, Stephen A. Smith was also all-in for James’ move to New York. If it happens, that is.

And now, the King is back with yet another cryptic tweet. Replying to the post on X, which had an apple emoji – a not-so-subtle reference to the ‘Big Apple’, Bron posted the Statue of Liberty emoji with a crown next to it. So is he moving to New York?

One just cannot blame alert fans and basketball pundits for jumping back on what might be an inevitable Knicks trade bandwagon. All of this started with the first cryptic post of James following the Lakers’ Wednesday loss to Atlanta. There was no hiding the frustration in the 4x champion’s tone.
The timing and circumstance, along with the deadline also in the context, led many to speculations. One thing led to another and the final verdict was LeBron James could be soon in a Knicks’ jersey. And that’s when his agent just about had enough.
There could also be another reason why the Klutch Sports founder might have acted in haste.

Klutch Sports vs New York Knicks
The Klutch Sports and Knicks were making plenty of headlines last year owing to their cold war. With Rich Paul reportedly not interested in signing his clients with the New York franchise, Leon Rose had hit a roadblock. But it seems like the former CAA colleagues have buried the hatchet.

According to the New York Post, Rich met with Rose on Friday to “hash out” things. They also put forth the hope of a professional business relationship going forward. The current Knicks President had represented LeBron James in CAA. But when Paul left to build his own empire, LeBron followed him.
