The Los Angeles Lakers fanbase has a new heartthrob in town. It is 25-year-old Austin Reaves who burst onto the scene with his exciting plays during the 2022-23 NBA season. Moreover, his various on and off-court encounters with four-time NBA champion LeBron James also helped skyrocket his popularity. Currently, Reaves is on National Team duty for the FIBA World Cup set to start later this month.

During a recent podcast appearance, Reaves addressed a popular dating rumor and also revealed the real reason why he will not be attending a popular concert.

Reaves is on cloud nine currently. He is coming off a brilliant season with the Lakers helping them reach the Western Conference Finals. Moreover, he has been chosen in the USA Team set to take part in the FIBA World Cup.

A few months ago, Austin Reaves went viral across all social media platforms. A source speculated that he had been on a date with eight year-older pop sensation, Taylor Swift.
Not only did Reaves put all those rumors to rest on the Full Send podcast, but he also gave us some insights into his lifestyle and habits.
When asked about whether he checks his DMs or not, Reaves casually replied, ‘No’. The hosts then asked him about potential dating rumors regarding him and popular singer, Taylor Swift. “Yeah, that was funny“, said Reaves about the rumors while outrightly denying them.
The hosts then asked him whether he would be at the So-Fi stadium in Los Angeles for Swift’s ‘Eras’ tour which happened on the 8th of August. Not seeming particularly interested in the event, Reaves replied, “I’ll be with the FIBA team.”
Along with stars like Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton, Reaves will represent Team USA in the World Cup starting on the 25th of August.
Reaves is not a fan of partying
It is no secret that NBA athletes around the league like to enjoy and party from time to time. In fact, many athletes have their own alcohol brands!
Reaves is different. During the podcast, he revealed that he doesn’t like partying and has apparently never been drunk in his life. “Everybody that knows me knows that I don’t go out. I have never been drunk”, said the Lakers star who recently signed a four year deal.
