The Lakers were holding on to a slim lead in the final moments of the fourth quarter. At that time, the Suns tightly defended the rising star of LA Austin Reaves to gain possession of the ball. Devin Booker, in a desperate attempt, challenged Reaves, which caused him to lose control of the ball. However, just at that moment, LeBron James decided to call a timeout even though his team did not have the possession. And surprisingly, the referee even granted it, which shocked and frustrated the entire Sun’s coach staff. But after the match ended, a closer look at Booker’s challenge on Reaves revealed that he might’ve committed a kickball violation.

So, if the referee had noticed that, the Lakers would’ve had the advantage, anyway. S0, even if the timeout call was controversial, the kickball violation of Devin Booker had guaranteed the victory for the 17x NBA Champions.
