“LeBron Announcing Retirement!?”: Lakers’ Unusual Decision Leaves Fans In Panic After Nuggets’ Win

It seems like the Los Angeles Lakers are planning an early rest after their season came to an end tonight. The Denver Nuggets took care of business as they defeated the Purple & Gold 108-106 in what was a closely contested game. For once, everyone on the Lakers team gave it as best as they could possibly do. But the Nuggets were simply the better team.
In a somewhat unusual move, Dave McMenamin tweeted, “The Lakers players will conduct their exit interviews with reporters tonight rather than in the coming days, we are told. So we should be hearing from most of the team tonight.” The tweet was enough for Lakers fans to go on an outcry. They were sure of what they feared the most: LeBron James’ retirement. One fan commented, “LeBron announcing retirement. I’m out.”

According to McMenamin, James said that he was going to focus on his family. But he also has Olympic responsibilities. So, after spending some quality time, LeBron will shift his attention to Team USA and the 2024 Paris Olympics. But he refrained from going into detail about the next year in the NBA.
“I don’t have an answer … to be honest. I haven’t given it much thought,” the 4x champion said. But James did say that he was going to sit down for a serious discussion with agent Rich Paul about his future in the league. Of course, that involves his family, as well. Come what may, Bron is still quite adamant in his wish to play with his son. At least, he was the last James talked about it.
Anything besides the above, LeBron James didn’t talk much about. But that wasn’t enough assurance for his fans.
There are mixed reactions to the possibility of a LeBron James retirement
While the above fan was quite heartbroken, this guy seems to be very understanding. He commented, “Lebron retirement announcement and it’s well deserved too he deserves to rest.” Another fan seems to be in jitters as he commented, “Ooooh boy LeBron retirement announce otw”

Yet another user is quite convinced that James is going to announce his retirement. “LeBron will say he is considering retirement.”

It is the fans’ right to speculate on what their favorite basketball player’s decision will be; we suppose. For now, though, all LeBron James has said is, “We’ll cross that when we need to.”
The man has had a long and heavy run in his 21st year and all he is looking forward to now is time away from all the noise and the wreck of a season the Los Angeles Lakers have had.
