It comes as no surprise that LeBron James is the NBA’s Greatest birthday performer of all time. In his 21-year career, LeBron has played 9 NBA games on his birthday. He averages a whopping 33.7 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 7 assists in those nine games. King James has scored a total of 303 points on his birthday throughout his career. That makes him the leader in both points averaged and scored by a player on his birthday. LeBron has a chance to add to his legacy and put up another historic performance tonight.

He will play a record 10th birthday game of his career against Anthony Edwards and Co. The Lakers will need a magical performance from their birthday boy to get a win against the best team in the Western Conference. And the idea is not far-fetched, as LeBron put up one of the best performances of his career on his 38th birthday last year. He went off for 47 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 assists to get the Lakers a win over the Atlanta Hawks. And that performance is not even LeBron’s best birthday performance of his career.

Who has had a better birthday performance than LeBron James?

LeBron’s Greatest birthday performance of his career came on his 25th birthday in 2009. King James was still playing in Cleveland and going head-to-head against the Atlanta Hawks. He dominated the Hawks and scored 48 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists. Interestingly, two of LeBron’s best birthday performances have come against the Atlanta Hawks. But LeBron’s 48-point performance in 2009 is not the NBA’s best birthday performance of all time.

That record is held by Lakers legend and Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal. The 4-time Champion put up the Greatest birthday performance the league has ever seen on his 28th birthday. It was the year 2000, and Shaq was in his prime. He dominated the LA Clippers, and singlehandedly destroyed them with a 61-point performance.
