With the Lakers scheduled to face the Denver Nuggets tonight, LeBron is likely to reach that surreal number tonight. While LeBron was not too worried about crossing the 40,000-point mark after Thursday’s game, he was taken aback by the buzz when he entered the Crypto.com arena tonight.

As King James entered the building for tonight’s game, he was surprised to see more than usual cameras to cover his historic achievement. It just happened organically.” Despite being the NBA’s all-time leading scorer, LeBron claims he never had a score-first mentality. So, he does not give much thought to it and focuses more on playing the right way.

He split through two Nuggets’ defenders with a signature spin move and reached the historic milestone with a smooth layup. Fans in the Crypto.com arena erupted and gave LeBron a standing ovation. However, King James was still focused on the game and got a steal on the other end.
