To give a background, the Dallas Cowboys played against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday night. The Cowboys lost 23-28 and while the fans were already upset, Grant Williams added more fuel to the fire.

The risky move by Williams

On Sunday night, the Dallas Mavericks crushed the Charlotte Hornets with a 124-118 victory. The Houston native arrived for the post-game press conference with a Philadelphia Eagles jersey, with Jason Kelce’s name on the back.

And fans of Dallas did not approve of it. Some fans called for the outright removal of the player from the team.

And that folks is why you do not mess with the fans. Some fans felt like he was on a slippery slope by playing with his popularity like this.

Williams’ only saving grace

While most of the fans are upset, some seem to allow it. This was chalked out to his impressive performance with the Mavs. Williams was traded to Dallas from the Celtics this summer and has positioned himself to be an important part of Luka Doncic’s team. Averaging 15.0 points with 5.0 rebounds, the power forward can shoot 51.1 % from the field. And this, some fans claimed, was the only reason they would let this pass by.
