Getting her first acting job at age 3, Ayesha Curry revealed how working in her mother’s salon as a kid helped her become the successful woman she is today.

Ayesha Curry worked in her mother’s salon

Ayesha was a guest on the Fat Mascara podcast, where she got nostalgic about the days she used to work in her mother’s salon. The Michelin-star restaurant owner’s mother was a hairstylist and ran a salon for almost 40 years. Ayesha talked about the time she used to work in the salon to help her mother, “I would spend my weekends with her in her salon, answering phones for her.” She used to attend client calls for her mother, getting more customers through the door. Ayesha also had fun while working in her mother’s salon. “I would love to pretend like I was grown.” Even at a young age, Ayesha acted like a true professional, mimicking what grown-ups would say while talking to customers.

That was the time the “Hannah Montana” actress got a taste of what the acting world would be like. She had always been confident interacting with people because of her work in the salon. Even though it was a small role, Ayesha landed her first acting role when she was 3. She worked alongside actor Tim Allen, playing the role of a Bubble elf in the movie “Santa Claus with Tim Allen”. Talking to the customers in her mother’s salon made Ayesha even more confident as she went on to do bigger things in her life.

Ayesha Curry has come a long way

Working in her mother’s salon was a true-life lesson for Ayesha Curry, “It prepared me for my future life.” Being great at hospitality from a young age, Ayesha is now an owner of the Michelin Star restaurant, International Smoke. The 34-year-old is also a two-time New York Times Best-Selling author and has been a part of several TV shows as an actress, host, and judge.
