We all know about LeBron James and his obsession with football. But there is yet another interest of his that Bron has been getting super excited about. The Madden NFL video game. His close friend and former NFL wide receiver, Dez Bryant, can often be seen exchanging light-hearted digs and jabs on X (formerly Twitter) with him.

An avid gamer himself, Bryant is often seen rallying fellow players or fans for matches online. The most recent in this is James giving props to the NFL legend for keeping his word. Replying to an earlier thread, LeBron shouts out Dez for his brilliant game. Respect [a salute emoji] to the resiliency.

The Madden NFL video game series has been a game-changer for every football-obsessed fan, even the celebrities. Developed by EA Tiburon, it was named after the pro-Football HoF Coach, John Madden. His commentary and expertise in the field proved to be invaluable for the development of the game.

And the result was obvious. From LeBron James, and NFL players to millions around the world, Madden is a culture. This couldn’t be more obvious in a surprising change in the pre-Christmas game ritual of LeBron James.

Unusually, this time around, the King James tweaked his pre-game routine for the Christmas Day matchup. Getting the day off before the showdown, the 4x Champion can usually be seen listening to music or reading a book. But this season, the Madden temptation was too strong for him to turn a blind eye or an ear.

LeBron’s only reply was a bunch of laughing emojis. While the duo started by going head-to-head, it seems like the ‘Akron Hammer’ has now taken a back seat. He is more of an appreciative connoisseur than an active player. Which brings us to another comical post from Bryant. “Quit scouting,” tagging LeBron James at the end.

Bron assured him that he was there as a fan of Dez’s mad Madden skills. It’s clear that Bryant’s in-game skills are on point, for James to spend his time watching him in action. Either way, the King’s love for football is still at large. Be it on the field or online.
