Giannis Antetokounmpo has been making some big waves in the past few games. In the most recent game against the Rockets, he managed to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record for being the franchise record-holder for the number of rebounds. Of course, people did not shy away from supporting him through and through. He also set another record for most points in a single game.
It’s not just fans but Adrian Griffin is all praise for the Bucks’ star. He even poked some fun at Giannis’ desire to keep a souvenir from his latest achievements.

The match against the Houston Rockets could be just about done at 128-119. But Giannis did not want to abandon the court just yet. He obviously wanted to shatter some records while being at it. And as supportive as his Head Coach, Adrian Griffin, can be, he supported him in this endeavor. He encouraged him to not just shatter the legend, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record but also bring the win for the team. How can Giannis not oblige?
The Greek Freak scored 26 points, with 3 assists, 17 rebounds. Plus, he also surpassed 7,161 rebounds made by none other than Kareem Abdul-Jabbar himself for the Bucks’ franchise. With 7,165 rebounds, Giannis is in the lead for the most points, rebounds, and assists. He also surpassed Abdul-Jabbar in the number of catches.

It takes so much work, mental and physical, to become one of the greats in the franchise’s history before you even turn 30. The Greek Freak is doing just that, with so much fuel still left in his supercharged body.
Can Giannis Antetokounmpo lead the Bucks to another title?
This is just one accomplishment Giannis has in his long list of incredible wins. The 29YO is hitting new levels this season, and it’s a dangerous stage for his peers, considering he still has many years left on the hardwood floor.

In just four and a half years, he has won championships, with Finals MVP honors, he’s been a back-to-back MVP and has managed to set record career points, assists, as well as rebounds. He’s obviously also earned many All-NBA and All-Stars honors. Despite the wins in just 11 years of his career, he’s looking forward to more wins.
Antetokounmpo once said, “I want to keep on playing the game at a high level”. He wants to take good care of his body to keep going forward and achieve even more records. So even if the Bucks might have got knocked out the first round last year, they’re keeping their demeanor high this year, all thanks to Giannis. This year, they are in the second spot in the Eastern Conference, again the credit for which goes to him. In fact, adding Damian Lillard to the roster also contributed significantly.

If the team manages to stay healthy come playoff time, there would rarely be a team in the East that would be able to slow down Antetokounmpo and the Bucks.
