The Pelicans have invested heavily in Williamson by signing him to a five-year designated maximum rookie extension worth up to $231 million.?

Williamson’s camp has denied the trade rumors. His agent, Austin Brown, said that Williamson is “committed” to the Pelicans. “Zion is focused on his recovery and getting back on the court”, Brown said. “He is not going to be traded”.
