The Miami Heat have also opened trade talks as they consider moving pieces around. With somewhat lackluster performances and an expiring contract, the Heat’s 37-year-old point guard is the top option to be moved out. After failing to acquire Damian Lillard in the offseason, the franchise underwent much heat.

And the situation worsened, seeing how Dame expressly made his wish of wanting to move to Miami known. And now, the Heat looks to be ready to separate themselves from another 6x All-Star – Kyle Lowry.

Of course, all of this only works out if, for the sake of it, let’s say, the stars align. Or the 13.4 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists (2021-22).

So while he might be dealing with a few apparent struggles, his expiring $85 million contract could be a key aspect of his value on the trade market. Not to mention, the unrestricted free-agent status in 2024. As Jackson noted, if a mutually beneficial deal comes through, the Heat will trade Lowry.

With this news, it seems all but final that Lowry and the Heat are going to part ways.
