The Emmy Award winner NBA show ‘Inside the NBA’ will soon be losing its exclusive rights to the NBA. Reportedly, NBC, Disney/ESPN, and Amazon are all set to finalize their media rights deals with the NBA. The current broadcast channel left behind in the race is TNT. After broadcasting the show for almost 35 years, the NBA fanatics will soon bid adieu to their favorite show and one of the most elite panels on the NBA, including Charles Barkley and Shaq, among others. However, the latest statement from NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has raised hope for the show’s followers.

While the man of many laurels was on his way to the state dinner at the White House, TMZ Sports asked Adam about the future of the show and their hosts. “I can’t imagine those guys won’t be performing, won’t be announcing together in the future, ” Silver told about Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith, Shaquille O’Neal, and Ernie Johnson. Further adding to his admiration for the elite NBA panelists, Silver stated, “We all love them. Never gonna lose Charles and Kenny.” Silver seemed quite assured that Barkley, Smith, presumably Shaq, and Johnson would continue to entertain the NBA followers with their valuable insights.

However, when the league executive was asked about the fate of the show, he replied, “Who knows? We’re all still talking. Who knows how it’s gonna work out?” Though Adam’s comment has instilled an assurance to fans who have been following the show for decades. Moreover, it can be a safe-side statement as Adam was not happy with the WBD CEO David Zaslav for his “We don’t need the NBA” comment from 2022. That stench of the past might still be brewing between the two.

Adam Silver has assured the fans of the combination of the NBA panelists to be as it is. However, the TNT deal regarding ‘Inside the NBA’ is reportedly ending next year. That will be a great blow to Shaq‘s hopes for continuing at TNT. During his interview with Daily Mail, Shaq said, “I don’t know [about the show’s future], but hopefully [Warner Bros. Discovery CEO] David Zaslav will take care of business. I’m sure he will.” But the present scenario seems to be going in a completely different direction.

Former NBA MVP was quite “confident” that the show would prevail on TNT. Therefore, if things go the way they are expected to in the present case scenario, we might lose O’Neal from the elite panel. The reason behind it is that Shaq had confirmed that he did not plan to go to any other network. Since the deal is reportedly not coming the way of TNT, it might also end Shaquille O’Neal’s spree. But Charles Barkley had already predicted about the situation.

That’s why Barkley was looking forward to a different network that could gather all the members of the panel. Soon, the NBA community will get to know about the rise of a new era in the world of basketball. However, Shaq’s ex-agent, Leonard Armato, is not concerned about the dissolution. Rather he is quite fascinated by the marketing brain of Shaquille O’Neal. Watch the video to learn more about it.
