LeBron James said that he was going to watch the NFL playoffs after the Lakers‘ abysmal loss to the Nets yesterday, and he made good on his word. The Baltimore Ravens vs Houston Texans kicked off the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs. The Ravens’ star QB, Lamar Jackson propelled the team to a 34-10 win.

There is no doubt that Mrs. James will have a word or two with her husband after such a public confession! Bron just cannot get enough of football. It could be because, for a short time, James did see a future in the NFL. And what a period would that be for America’s most-loved sport! Ultimately, though, he chose the NBA.

But that hasn’t diminished his interest in football in the least, if at all. One could say that his love has multiplied. If there is a match going on and LeBron James is free and has no family commitments, you will see him engrossed in a football match, cheering the players on. If that’s not possible, you’d find him watching the game on TV while posting regular updates on X.

As we saw above. As for the recipient of such love, Jackson proved once again why he was the 2023 MVP favorite.

One take at a time

“Not only is there more to life than basketball, there’s a lot more to basketball than basketball” - Jackson had a simple philosophy when he was coaching the Lakers. He wanted everyone to succeed and grow in the service of something bigger than themselves. This is what struck me the most.
