The Minnesota Timberwolves headed into tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers extremely shorthanded. They were missing their superstar Center, Karl-Anthony Towns, who got ruled out indefinitely due to a torn meniscus in his left knee. While many counted the Timberwolves out before the game, rising star Anthony Edwards led Minnesota to a miraculous victory in KAT’s absence. Edwards decimated the Pacers’ defense and scored 44 points to lead the Timberwolves to a 113-111 win.

However, a few moments in the game left the Timberwolves fans concerned for Edwards’ safety. The Timberwolves star left tonight’s game twice after suffering horrific injury scares. Edwards first left the game within seconds of tip-off after rolling his ankle by stepping on Aaron Nesmith’s foot. He struggled to walk as the play continued and limped to the locker room after the whistle. Edwards returned to the game but would have to leave again after falling awkwardly during a play. Fortunately, Edwards did not suffer a serious injury and returned to finish the game.

After the game, Edwards boasted about his pain tolerance as the injury curse failed to harm him, “My pain tolerance is high… I think I am a pretty tough dude though.” Anthony Edwards showcased his incredible endurance with tonight’s 44-point performance amid adversity. Despite suffering multiple injury scares, Edwards understood his team needed him in KAT’s absence. And the 22-year-old delivered. However, Edwards admitted to being tired after the thrilling game, “I can’t lie to you, I’m tired.”

Despite two mid-game locker room visits due to injury, Edwards did not let fear get in the way of winning. Edwards put his body in harm’s way in the final play to win the game for Minnesota. With the Timberwolves leading by 2 points and under 7 seconds remaining on the clock, Edwards missed a crucial free throw to extend the lead. Edwards’ miss led to a Pacers’ fastbreak and gave them an opportunity to tie the game. However, Edwards showcased his insane athleticism and blocked Nesmith’s game-tying layup attempt.

After the game, Edwards was hyped about his game-winning play and even surprised himself with his insane athleticism, “I ain’t never jumped that high in my life.” He admitted that his head and wrists were hurting from the play. But Edwards was more excited about getting a win on the road and beating a tough Pacers squad.
