Luka Doncic had to witness the strangest post-game presser ever after the Game 2 victory over the OKC Thunder. As he was discussing the game that night, a moaning noise interrupted the proceedings. Wide-eyed and severely mortified, the Dallas superstar bowed, shaking his head at the noise.

Tonight, though, as the Mavericks took the lead after Game 5, Doncic was simply relieved that no such noises disrupted his press conference. “Luka Doncic on his way out of his press conference was glad there was “no moaning today” unlike last time he was in Oklahoma City,” OKC Thunder beat writer Grant Afseth tweeted.

The hilarious incident was initially said to be an accident by one of the journalists present. As they took out their phone to record a video of Luka, the poor guy (or woman) clicked an NSFW video. Well, we all know what happens when we press the play button on one of those!

MacMahon, the reporter who was asking No. 77 the questions at that inopportune moment, later clarified that wasn’t the case. “To be clear, that was a prank from the hallway. That was not some lonely media member who needed to get back from Bricktown.” To this day, there hasn’t been a true confirmation as to what or who was behind those “sounds”.

As the veteran reporter said, let us hope it was only a prank. If not, people have to be a teensy bit more careful handling their “enjoyment”. That said, Luka’s good mood also came from tonight’s victory, no doubt. After all, they are just one game away from closing the deal for good.

The Mavs rallied behind the triple-double of Luka Doncic to take a 3-2 lead in the West thriller

With tonight’s defeat, one of the youngest teams in the NBA faces the threat of elimination for the first time. The Dallas Mavericks vs Oklahoma City Thunder has been truly a blockbuster series. Trading blows with precision and skill on par with each other, both teams took the losses in their stride and the wins as inspiration for continuing the streak next game. The crucial Game 5, though, saw the ‘Lone Star State’ pull off with the big W.

The Slovenian superstar finished the night on a 31-point triple-double as the Mavs won 104-92. As opposed to his usual nature, the 6’7 guard decided to focus on just his game and not pick fights with the officials. Hilariously enough, he turned his attention to fans, it would seem. In the 5x All-Star’s defense, there are only so many ‘Luka Sucks’ chants one can take.

Aside from Luka’s triple-double, Dereck Lively II and P.J. Washington contributed double-doubles of their own. The previous game saw them blow a 14-point lead and admit defeat at home. This time, the ‘Big D’ pushed their lead up to 18 points by the fourth quarter. But Oklahoma City managed to find a few cracks in their defense at that very point.

Even with a late surge, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Co. did not close the gap by more than seven points. Despite it all, Daigneault’s boys stay locked in. “Our mood won’t change, our mentality won’t change … We wanted to win this game tonight as badly as we’re going to want to win the next game,” SGA said post-game.

They will get a final chance to put those words into action at the American Airlines Center at 8:00 PM ET next. Hopefully, they can upset the Mavs at home.
