The Los Angeles Lakers’ inconsistent form continued as they got blown out by the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. Fans expected LeBron James and Co. to have a great game after their dominant performance against the Pistons on Wednesday. But the Lakers lost 133-110 despite Anthony Davis’ impressive 31-point performance. LeBron had an off-night, scoring only 21 points and 12 rebounds.

That gave LeBron James’ harshest critic, Skip Bayless, yet another chance to pinpoint the 4-time Champion’s shocking failure against OKC.

Veteran analyst Skip Bayless was not happy about LeBron James’ performance against the OKC Thunder. He pointed out a shocking stat about LeBron’s presence on the court for the Lakers and blamed him for tonight’s loss against OKC. “LeBron put up pretty good numbers at OKC except one — the Lakers lost by 18 when he was on the court. -18! He’s just not having the IMPACT.” Bayless wrote on X. According to Bayless’ stat, LeBron being on the court doing more harm to the Lakers. But LeBron has been the best player for the Lakers this season.

He is carrying the majority of the Lakers’ offensive load and has been performing great consistently. LeBron is averaging insane numbers in his 21st season, something the world has never seen before. It has been evident from Skip’s past that he does not leave any opportunity to slander the Lakers superstar. The Undisputed host has been LeBron’s harshest critic throughout his career, and he always analyzes his mistakes under a microscope. To say that LeBron is not having “The Impact” when he is the only thing saving the Lakers season is blasphemy.

Anthony Davis needs to take the torch from James

LeBron started the season red-hot and put up some elite performance in each game. But as the season progresses and fatigue starts to set in, the 38-year-old’s performance will begin to slow down. That is already evident from his recent performances. He has not crossed the 25-point mark in the last four games, which is below his season average this year. Anthony Davis needs to take the torch from King James and become the first option for the Lakers.

AD has played great recently and scored a double-double in eight consecutive games. He led the Lakers in scoring tonight with 31 points and 14 rebounds. The Lakers need AD to continue his dominant form and carry the scoring load so that LeBron can stay healthy till the end of the season. It is a long road to the NBA Championship, and the Lakers will only win if both their superstars stay healthy till June.
