Kevin Durant is one of the most lethal offensive players in NBA history. He is ranked 10th on the All-time scoring list, and there is nothing opponents can do to stop The Slim Reaper. Even on defense, KD can shut down any player utilizing his length and athleticism. It is hard to find a weakness in the 2-time Champion’s game and that is what has kept him going even at age 35.

But Durant’s ex-Warriors’ teammate Andre Iguodala exposed a weakness in his game that has nothing to do with basketball. KD was not pleased with the assessment and called Iguodala out for his blasphemous take.

Retired Golden State Warriors legend Andre Iguodala exposed Kevin Durant’s one weakness on his Point Forward podcast. “KD’s only flaw is he won’t lift weights.” Iguodala remarked. According to Durant’s former teammate, KD can be pushed around and fouled by his opponents because he refuses to lift weights during his workouts. That allows defenders to foul him easily, as they can do nothing else to stop him. Durant was not pleased with Iguodala’s take and called him out on X, “Now I don’t lift weights, aight man… these boys say anything on these podcasts.”

Andre Iguodala further went on to appreciate Kevin Durant’s unique workout. “If you watch him workout, it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen.” Iggy added. Even during a 30-minute workout, Durant is consistent on his shots, and the ball hits the same part of the rim every time it goes in.

Kevin Durant is doing something right

Even if what Andre Iguodala is saying is correct, Kevin Durant has not let that hinder his performance. KD is 35 years old and is showing no signs of slowing down. He is still one of the best players in the league, and his opponents have no answer for his offense. The Slim Reaper is averaging 30.8 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 5.6 assists this season. He has led the Phoenix Suns to a 13-11 record with his incredible performance.

At 6’11, Durant’s weight is only 240lbs. That is very low compared to some superstars of his height. In comparison, 2-time MVP Nikola Jokic is the same height as KD but is 44 lbs heavier than him. That allows The Joker to bully players in the paint and get to his spot. But Durant has been doing the same thing his entire career with lesser body weight. He can get to his spot whenever he wants using his skills. So, he must be doing something right.
