Their February acquisition of Kyrie Irving from the Brooklyn Nets was expected to improve their championship hopes. Prior to the NBA free agency, there were rumors that Irving might consider meeting with multiple teams, but as it turned out, he already made up his mind to rejoin the Mavericks. When Kyrie called out criticism on social media

A popular sports account took to Twitter with a clip showing the iconic Joker scene where he blows up a hospital from the movie The Dark Knight. With the post, there was a message: “Kyrie Irving destroying every NBA team he has ever been a part of.”

It was a subtle jibe at how Irving has always left teams on an unpleasant note. From Cleveland Cavaliers who drafted him in 2011, to the Brooklyn Nets in 2023. Kyrie’s response was straightforward, with the intention of reminding everyone who he was and what he possessed.

In response to the tweet he tweeted, “*NBA champion and *Gold medalist *Kyrie Irving. Just thought the statement needed a correction as y’all continue to make money off of my NAME and countless others.”
