The New Orleans Pelicans will continue their road trip tonight as they face the Indiana Pacers. After losing two straight games at home, Zion Williamson & co. got a dominant win last night against the New York Knicks. The Pelicans hope to carry that momentum and improve their record by winning on back-to-back nights. Fortunately, they will receive a major boost as all their star players will be available for the highly-anticipated clash.

According to NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, Pacers stars Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and CJ McCollum will suit up for tonight’s game. Even though Zion and Ingram played last night, their initial status was questionable for the Pacers’ clash.

Ingram suffered a right ankle sprain in yesterday’s game, and Zion has been dealing with a left foot contusion. However, they will play tonight despite their lingering injuries. Meanwhile, a bigger boost for the Pelicans will be the return of veteran guard CJ McCollum.

CJ had been out for the last two games due to a left ankle sprain. He injured his ankle in a game against the Miami Heat last week. McCollum had to leave the game midway after playing only 15 minutes. He was ruled out of the upcoming two games to recover from the ankle injury. The Pelicans went 1-2 in those three games. McCollum’s return to the lineup significantly increases the Pelicans’ chances to win against the Pacers.

CJ has been a great veteran leader for the Pelicans throughout the season. The 32-year-old guard is averaging 18.8 points, 4.6 assists, and 4.3 rebounds. CJ’s return adds another offensive weapon to the Pelicans stacked lineup.

How far can the New Orleans Pelicans go this season?

The Pelicans are having one of their best seasons in years. They are currently 5th in the Western Conference standings with a 35-24 record. The Pelicans missed the playoffs last season because Zion Williamson got injured after playing only 29 games and missed the rest of the season. However, that is not the case this year. Zion has already played in 48 games this season. His dominance on the court has helped the Pelicans compete with the best teams in the league. Zion is averaging 22.4 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists.

Brandon Ingram has also played great all year and has been a solid co-star to Zion. The Pelicans have a deep roster with a solid mixture of young talent and veteran leaders. With the way they have played all season, they are bound to make the playoffs this year. And if their star players stay healthy for the remainder of the season, the Pelicans can even make a deep run in the post-season and upset a few title contenders.
