The Golden State Warriors’ bad stint this season continues. And once again, it was Stephen Curry who was giving his heart and soul trying to win a match for his franchise but failed despite putting up 60 points. At 35, Curry is setting new boundaries in the NBA by averaging 28.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 5 assists per game and displaying the determination to earn glory for his franchise. However, it seems like he is part of a mediocre team where he is the torchbearer and his teammates are just bandwagoners.

Looking at Curry’s performance last night, even the Atlanta Hawks fans were cheering on the 4x Champion during the match. So, in the post-match interview, when they asked Curry about how he felt about getting validation from the opposition fans. He said he was thrilled with the response but will never take it for granted as “the ball will stop balancing at some point.”

The 10x All-Star was even asked about how his faith helped him navigate through his illustrious career. Answering that, Curry said, “My faith guides me in everything. It’s not really a result of you know what happens on the court. I am just blessed to have this stage to shine a light and hopefully be some type of inspiration to anybody that watches me.”

And the 10x All-Star has rightly been doing so for the 15 seasons that he has been playing in the NBA. He has revolutionized the sport of basketball, encouraged a lot of kids, and also won several championships for his franchise. However, with that being said, this season Curry’s team is having a major downfall and, by the looks of things, will not even be able to qualify for the playoffs. What is the reason for that?

The end of the Warrior’s core team dominance

The Golden State Warriors, once thought to be invincible, are facing a major fall this season, indicating the end of an era in which they dominated the NBA. The team’s main players, including Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green, who were important in the team’s prior success, are suffering issues related to their age and injuries. Klay Thompson, who was a crucial part of the Warriors’ success and recognized for his incredible shooting and movement, suffered an Achilles injury that has had a significant influence on his performance. Even though he showed some glimpses of his old self, the injuries have hampered his accuracy, which in turn made him just an average player now.

On the other hand, Draymond Green, who was known for his defensive brilliance, is having issues controlling his temper. He has been part of several on-court altercations that have resulted in bans and generated concerns about his behavior. Due to that, the Warriors have been having coordination issues which are resulting in losses. If the Warriors want to make it to the playoffs, the only solution for that is a roster rebuild.
