It’s always weird playing against your former teammates. Especially if you had a super close relationship with them. Take the friendship between Chris Paul and Devin Booker for example. The two played together for three years with the Phoenix Suns. This 2023-24 season, however, Paul will be playing with the Golden State Warriors.
During their time together, both sang high praise of each other with Chris even saying that he sees himself in the younger star. He claimed that ‘Book’ played with the same drive and passion that he also had and still continues to have to this day. But now, with each playing against each other, one does wonder how they are going to be.

Chris is looking forward to the game
In the media conference earlier, the 38 year-old point guard was asked what it would be like playing against his former teammate. Chris replied, “It’ll be fine, man. It is crazy. Man, Book, you know, he’s so close. It’s gonna be like that for life obviously. He’s been on my team for the last 3 years.”
He also added that it would be interesting to play against him for the first time. “But I’m sure after, you know the first couple minutes, it’d be, you know, like it was when it was in OKC and Houston, like I used to know that before, but it definitely should be fine”, Paul assured.

Having played eighteen seasons with different teams since debut, we’re sure Chris would have been used to this by now. Most of his previous teams were from the western conference and so the chances of meeting his former teammates was pretty high. And, from the looks of it, he doesn’t seem too bothered.
Warriors will play their first game tomorrow

The Suns will be hoping to record their first championship win in 54 years since joining the league despite reaching the finals in 1976, 1993, and 2021. For the Warriors, however, they will be vying to win it again for the fifth time. Will Phoenix be able to end its unlucky streak? It will all depend on how they play, right from the first game tomorrow.
