LeBron James finally hit the much-awaited 40,000th point of his career tonight vs the Denver Nuggets! Playing at home, the Lakers are hoping to use that to their advantage in extending their home wins to 5 in a row. But the man of the hour hit 40k in the second quarter, hitting a scoop layup off the glass. James only needed nine points to reach 40, and given how he is averaging 25.3 points per game, it’s a certainty that when the game finishes, he will have hit a record that will take a special someone to reach or break!

It was only a year ago that he passed the All-Time Scorer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar – a title the NBA legend held for four decades. And now, he has created his record. One that will take longer than four decades to break. There’s no wonder then that his beloved wife and pillar of strength, Savannah James, would be present for the historical moment. She shared her excitement on Instagram with the caption, “Because why didn’t the game stop,” followed by laughing emojis.

Despite being the children of the NBA’s power couple, their three children have a grounded, humble personality. While Bron tries his best to be there for his children amidst his busy schedule and instill great qualities in them, Mrs. James is undoubtedly the key piece.
