There’s no NBA fan in sight who wouldn’t want to meet and shake hands with LeBron James. But what happens when the King shrugs you away? Of course, security gets involved and major trouble attracts you down the road. A very similar incident occurred recently during the Lakers vs Oklahoma City Thunder match during Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

As much as people want to meet the king, King James doesn’t seem comfortable at all. While the Los Angeles Lakers were asserting their dominance on the court after an enthralling victory, a fan seemingly started to invade James’ personal space. King James, at the time, was in the bench area wearing his warm-up t-shirt just when the overenthusiastic fan turned up to meet the L-train in person and became a little too over-friendly.

He appeared to place his hands on James’ shoulders and started talking to him. The 39-year-old star was visibly uncomfortable with the fan touching him and pushed him away.

Looking at this, the security approached the fan and proceeded to escort him out of the stadium as per the Cypto.com Arena’s code of conduct. While purchasing the tickets, the guidelines clearly state that “Guests who engage in disruptive behavior (including foul/abusive language or obscene gestures), fighting, throwing objects, or attempting to enter the court/stage will be immediately ejected from the venue without refund or reimbursement”.

The security team even went into a meeting right after this incident occurred, probably to discuss further measures to protect the NBA stars at all costs. However, this is not the first time a fan has been ejected because of James.

A couple was ejected for abusing LeBron James

During a match against the Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Lakers in 2021, a couple was seen having a verbal altercation with the 19x All-Star. The couple were Hawks fans, and the husband was abusing James and when James retaliated, his wife did not like it. She called out James and said, “Don’t f***ing talk to my husband,” to which the Lakers star answered her saying, “Sit the f**k down, b*tch.”

The fan lost it and tried to have a go at LeBron James in the middle of the match. So, after noticing her attempt to assault the star physically, the couple was immediately kicked out of the venue. However, this did not affect the Akron Hammer at all as the Lakers proceeded to win the match 107-99.
