But Joel Embiid and Co. soon brought the Lakers back to Earth as they torched them in tonight’s game. And it was the astonishing performance of veteran forward Marcus Morris and former Lakers guard Patrick Beverley that led to the downfall of the Lakers.

Fans took notice of Beverley and Morris’ shocking surge and slammed LeBron James and Co. for getting torched by Philly’s role players.

But he switched gears against his former team and made 3 quick three-pointers to get his team an early lead. Marcus Morris also put up an incredible performance, scoring 11 early points and going 3 of 3 from beyond the arc.

LeBron James and Co. trailed the game by a huge margin after Beverley and Morris’ scoring outburst, and the NBA World slammed the Lakers for getting torched by them. One fan wrote, “Patrick Beverley sending a statement to the Lakers.” The NBA world followed suit.
