The Los Angeles Lakers avoided a defeat against the Houston Rockets in the final minutes of the match. Thanks to the great LeBron James, the score stands 105-104 in favor of the Lakers. Bron is the most consistent Lakers player at this point. Even at the tail end of his illustrious career, James is comfortably the best player on this Lakers team.

In tonight’s match, he scored a valiant 37 points, coupled with 8 assists and 6 rebounds. Talking about his fitness, even at 38, he played the highest number of minutes from the Lakers’ end. During those 40 minutes, he never seemed like he was feeling uncomfortable, even for an instance. Coach Darvin Ham was a bit worried about Bron’s fitness at the beginning of the season. He decided to implement the rotational theory because of him. It now seems like the Lakers are incomplete without the King. However, even after this spectacular performance, he is subjected to mockery.

Renowned sports commentator and writer Skip Bayless is famous for his unpopular opinions. Now he takes a moment to appreciate LeBron James for his obvious heroics against the Rockets but somewhat in a jesting manner. He took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to write his opinion.

Bayless said, “Swishing that second FT was one of the gutsiest late-game things I’ve ever seen LeBron do. Maybe he’s starting to figure it out in Year 21.” Needless to mention that he is taking a dig at the big man through his tweet.

Bayless was previously seen throwing jabs at the King’s free throws. Through another tweet, he questioned Bron’s free throwing and three-point scoring ability. He hilariously put out the fact that even after spending hours at training, and reaching four hours earlier at the gym, King has not been so good in his throws.

LeBron James has a free-throw percentage of 73.5% in his illustrious career. The stats might not term him as the greatest free thrower out there, but they did make an impact. There were various instances, where Bron’s late minute FTs saved the match for his team.

The game winning FTs against the Pacers and the Raptors in 2018 are some recent notable mentions. Bayless, as it seems, is never satisfied with Bron and according to his metrics, the latter has poor FT%. Although LeBron may not have improved his FT% according to Bayless, the above mentions are examples that he delivered when it mattered the most.
