The 4-time Champion hoped to regain his All-Star form in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards. However, Curry’s disappointing scoring run peaked as he broke a 12-year-long streak in a humiliating start to the game.

The Baby-Faced Assassin shocked the NBA World by going scoreless in the first half against the Wizards. That is the first time since November 2012 that Steph has not scored even a single point in the first half of a regular season game. The last time Steph was held to 0 points in the first half was on November 23, 2012, during a game against the Denver Nuggets. Despite Steph’s scoreless half, the Warriors led the Wizards 60-58 through the first 24 minutes of the game.

Curry’s scoring drought did not last long, as he scored 18 points in the second half. His second-half scoring outburst helped the Warriors come out with a comfortable 123-112 win. The humiliation of going scoreless in the first half might have motivated Steph to go ballistic in the final period. A similar thing happened during the 2019 playoffs. During Game 6 against the Houston Rockets, Steph was held to 0 points in the first half. He turned things around and decimated the Rockets’ defense by scoring 33 points in the second half. Knowing Steph’s competitive nature and incredible scoring ability, fans expected a big second-half performance from him tonight.

While Steph struggled to get things going in the first half, his teammates took responsibility for keeping the Warriors afloat. Klay Thompson continued his impressive scoring run in tonight’s game and finished with 25 points, 4 assists, and 3 rebounds. Klay has been playing great since head coach Steve Kerr moved him to the bench. Maybe Klay has finally found a role where he can continue to impact the game and help his team win. Young players Jonathan Kuminga and Gary Payton II also had a decent performance, combining for 34 points.

He quickly resettled into his role and helped the Warriors stay afloat amid Steph’s first-half struggles. Steph’s performance tonight showed he can turn things around even after a disappointing start.
