Steph underwent an MRI on Friday following his injury, and it returned clean. According to the latest report, the Warriors have diagnosed Stephen Curry with a right ankle sprain. He has been ruled out of tonight’s and Monday’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. Steph will be re-evaluated on Tuesday to see how soon he can return to action. That is positive news as Steph’s injury does not look too serious, and he could return sooner than expected.

The Warriors desperately need Steph back in the lineup because he has been their best player all season. Amid their injury-riddled season, Steph has been the only consistent piece in the Warriors lineup. The 10-time All-Star is averaging 26.9 points, 4.9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds. Curry has only missed 3 games so far, and the Warriors are 0-3 in those games. Without Steph on the floor, the Warriors’ offensive efficiency drops from 117.8 to 111.1. It is clear how important Curry is for the Warriors, and they will struggle to stay afloat in his absence.

The Warriors’ good luck lasted only one game

Only two games ago, the Warriors were celebrating the fact that they had a completely healthy roster for the first time since last November. After Andrew Wiggins and Brandin Podziemski returned to the lineup on Wednesday, the Warriors headed into the Bucks clash in full capacity. The Warriors took advantage of their healthy roster and blew out Giannis Antetokounmpo and Co. 125-90. Unfortunately, the Warriors’ good luck only lasted one game. Steph’s devastating injury during Thursday’s game has once again killed the Warriors’ momentum. He has a history of ankle injuries and that could lead to trouble for the struggling Warriors.
