A LeBron James-less Lakers are getting decimated on the road by the Milwaukee Bucks tonight. A major reason for the Lakers’ struggles has been the underwhelming performance of Anthony Davis. Although AD scored 29 points in regulation, he was highly inefficient from the field. Davis shot an abysmal 11 of 29 from the field and could not do much against Giannis’ lockdown defense. The Greek Freak’s dominant performance on Anthony Davis even left the NBA World in awe of the 2-time MVP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo vs. Anthony Davis head-to-head
Despite what the NBA World says, Anthony Davis has a winning record against The Greek Freak. Over the course of their careers, Giannis and Davis had faced each other 20 times before heading into tonight’s game. Surprisingly, Davis’ team has won in 12 of those encounters. AD averages a whopping 26.7 points, 10.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists against Giannis in his career. Even tonight, Davis proved the fans wrong as he helped the Lakers make a miraculous comeback in the second half to send the game to double overtime.
AD made amends for his terrible shooting in the first half by dominating the rest of the game. If Anthony Davis can lead the Lakers to a win in LeBron James’ absence, he will regain the bragging rights over Giannis Antetokounmpo. Tonight’s win will mark AD’s 13th career win against The Greek Freak. Do you believe Anthony Davis can make a successful comeback and silence his critics?
