To them, he’s just their dad, and that’s what he cherishes the most. While on the other hand, Ayesha, Curry is all hands with her family. With her latest venture, Eat. Learn. Play., with her husband, Stephen, she’s venturing into helping more kids in the community too.

Getting more involved in helping the community, she recently shared a “Day-1” win on social media about her entrepreneurial feat.

Beyond being one of the most skilled basketball players, Stephen Curry, along with his wife, takes part in a lot of philanthropic work. However, his work doesn’t seem to get noticed too often.

Through their nonprofit organization, Eat. Learn. Play., Steph, and Ayesha Curry are changing lives. The organization, established in 2019, offers kids in Oakland secure play areas, free lunches, and books. With many libraries across the city, they aim at building as many as 150 more.

The couple actively participates in community life. And through this venture, they are trying to set a good example for their children.

According to Ayesha Curry, the issue of literacy among children is a critical concern. She highlights the significance of reading skills at grade level by third grade. As per her, students who struggle with reading at this stage are more likely to face difficulties later on. She explicitly says, “If kids aren’t reading at their reading level, they’re kind of set up to fail. That?s just not fair.?

Ayesha even refers to research, reflecting on those who are not proficient readers by the third grade are 4x more likely to leave high school than those who are. She further emphasizes how critical it is to address this problem. Only addressing the problem can help guarantee every child receives an education that is fair and equitable.

The ideal outing for the Curry family

The Golden State Warriors guard and wife Ayesha, participate in a special event at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum as part of the celebrations for the day. They join 1,200 children in the outfield to support the hometown A’s while exchanging high-fives and popcorn. Steph interacts with the kids on the pitch after the game, participating in relay races with them. There are no grandiose speeches, prizes, or fundraising activities involved; the straightforward act of giving each young kid a rucksack full of books.

Ayesha threw the ceremonial first pitch, and Steph’s pitch misses its mark, bringing a dash of spontaneity to the proceedings. Grand gestures are intentionally absent since the emphasis is still on giving the youngsters a real and worthwhile experience. The act of giving is what they are teaching their three kids, and they’re learning it firsthand.
