The Orlando Magic is going head-to-head against the Los Angeles Lakers for the second time this season. Their last encounter ended in the Magic losing to LeBron James and Co, in a thrilling finish. D’Angelo Russell led the game in scoring with 28 points and helped his team get over the young Magic squad. After dishing out a beating to Orlando in the first game, Russell was on the receiving end of a nasty move early in tonight’s game.

Orlando guard Jalen Suggs humiliated D’Angelo Russell with a streetball move in the first quarter. Fans were quick to react to Suggs’ “redemption” against the Lakers.

Jalen Suggs’ redemption

Jalen Suggs was visibly disappointed after he missed a game-tying three-pointer against the Lakers in their previous encounter. With his team down by 3 points, Suggs grabbed the rebound on the final play and went outside the three-point line for the game-tying shot. He faked out Anthony Davis and got a wide-open shot to tie the game. Unfortunately, the shot fell a bit short, and the Lakers escaped with a win. Suggs held his jersey over his face in disappointment as his teammates consoled him.

Tonight, the Orlando Magic finished the first half against the Lakers, leading by 16 points. Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner carried the scoring load for the Magic, scoring 15 and 16 points in the half, respectively. Meanwhile, LeBron James and Co. were unable to get into rhythm. No one except AD and King James could score in double digits. Magic will hope to even the series with the Lakers by winning tonight’s game in dominant fashion. Both teams have won three of their first five games and are looking to improve their record early in the season.
